<image:caption>Bangkok Bank has been open for more than 70 years and is one of the largest regional banks in Southeast Asia. However, its branch design was created 20 years before this project began. With more than 1000 branches across Thailand and Southeast Asia, this flagship branch served as a prototype to be duplicated across the bank’s entire branch network. This required creating an interior architecture handbook that detailed how to duplicate the branch design at other locations. This project also involved refining clunky elements of the Bangkok Bank corporate brand identity, as well as redesigning the ATM booth and e-banking service, exterior facade and logo, furniture design, and teller (high counter) station. Bangkok Bank’s mission is to serve as a lifelong companion to its customers, so its target customers also include many young adults interested in making long-term investments. However, Bangkok Bank was perceived as being for old people, so to appeal to its new generation of customers, a more relaxing and friendly interior space was created to elicit a welcoming and unstuffy feeling. From the site analysis, a layout plan was created to help maximize energy saving, and for sustainable design each workstation made use of individual lighting. The layout was also specifically designed to manage workflow circulation throughout the interior space. Bangkok Bank has a good reputation and the lotus flower in its logo is widely recognized as the bank’s symbol, so the company logo without the bank’s name was used throughout the interior and exterior, but always on a clean background. The color scheme from the bank’s corporate identity was also reflected in the materials used, including coated glass and laminated wood finishing.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Retail & Banking - Trend Design Furniture Showroom</image:title>
<image:caption>Trend Design has been in the furniture retail industry for over 20 years, and their existing customer base was high-end consumers. However, today there are more competitive furniture retailers in the market than there were two decades ago. For this reason, the design approach for this furniture showroom did not focus solely on the aesthetics of the interior, but also on how the space itself can raise the value of the products and further reflect the lifestyle of Trend Design's target customer. Based on the branding research and target customer analysis, the customer's lifestyle identified led to creation of the interior design concept of "Casual Luxury," to appeal to luxury lovers with an outdoors lifestyle who are successful in both their family and business life. Trend Design hoped to represent the ultimate luxury furniture vendor, and featured more than 10 furniture brands in its showroom. The showroom itself was also intended to be the place for customers who expect to find high quality furniture, lighting and decorative pieces. However, the old showroom did not portray the sense and values of the products on display. In particular, the material selection was unrefined, and the product making process and the background stories of the furniture was missing. The design solution approach was to enhance the overall customer experience in the showroom by transforming the space into the "Luxury Lover's Destination."</image:caption>

Taking inspiration from the geometric form of the glowing growth rings of the tree, all the interior design elements are made of curved lines – from the light fixtures and stools in the lobby to the decorative wall panels found in the hallways. To further celebrate the authenticity and uniqueness of Indian culture, local Indian marble and hardwood was used for flooring and movable furniture.</image:caption>

<image:caption>PTT Global Chemical produces and distributes ethylene, polyethylene, and biochemical products, so the design concept for this project was inspired by the molecular geometry and structure of the chemicals used in the company’s products. This design language based on the 120° angles found in the molecular geometry was repeated throughout the space for various tailor-made elements of the interior design, including sculptures and lighting fixtures. The vivid color scheme used in various interior design elements was also based on the chemical’s vibrant color pigment. To further reflect the high-tech nature of the company’s brand, culture and products, three-dimensional laser cut shapes and techniques were used for the different materials within the space, particularly the glass fixtures. Frosted frames were also used for various elements of the interior design.</image:caption>

<image:caption>For over 120 years, Beiersdorf has focused on innovative skin and beauty care with several leading international brands, among them NIVEA, Eucerin, and La Prairie. Despite operating in a highly competitive environment, Beiersdorf has built a strong reputation for leading the change in the personal care industry for many generations. For this project, inspiration was taken from the company’s long-term commitment to innovation. Thus, the interior design was driven by a sense of sustainability and desire to build a space that would stand the test of time. Throughout the space, soft smooth lines in staircases, furniture partitions and other interior design elements were used to embody the smoothness of skin that comes from using Beiersdorf's impressive portfolio of innovative and non-toxic products. These smooth lines are even reflected in the layout plan. Mobile office stations, hot desking and individual task lighting were also integral features of the sustainable design approach used for this project.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Workplace</image:title>
<image:caption>This renovation project began after winning a competitive pitch against two other companies. Through the initial site survey, we found that the headquarters is located outside the metropolis in a town with greenery and riverside views, so the goal was to make the office feel more suburban. Thai Petroleum Pipeline transports refined petroleum products from downstream to storage, where trucks then come to pick up the petroleum. Thus, the company resembles the root that sends up water to the tree. Based on this concept, vertical lines were used throughout the design to imply the growth of the company with the benefit of existing building features like high ceilings, double-height spaces and skylights. Natural light and natural color schemes like sunrise, sunset, and oceans, were also used throughout the space. The main element of the interior design concept was the conduit, which represents the pipeline and vertical linkage for the perspective from the lobby to the double space. This vertical line was also used the same design language for the whole space - frosted film Space in the building was initially divided according to room type (lobby, office, meeting room, etc.), but the new layout plan converted these enclosed spaces into an open space. As a rapidly growing company, this open space layout could also be beneficial in the future when hiring more staff. Double height was also added at the foyer and a connection was made from the lobby to the staircase. The layout plan was also tailor-made for workstations. The hallway doubled as a storage space that connected to the workstations, so even though it is an open office the space still looks clean and sleek with enough storage for files. Interlocking and open spaces were created to manage privacy across public and private spaces. To compensate for the loss of private rooms and enclosed spaces through this new layout plan, a lounge with glass bookshelves and a self-service pantry was created for more casual meetings. The building façade was also redesigned and interior zoning was rearranged.</image:caption>

<image:caption>The concept of this tropical style house located in Lampang, in the north of Thailand, followed from the user's behavior and needs. Lampang is widely known as the hottest city in Thailand in the summertime. Thus, some of the major concerns for the architecture and interior design were focused on natural ventilation, fresh air, natural light and the color of the trees around the house, which could be combined with the design of the house. All the furniture in the house was custom made using local wood, such as teak wood and red wood. Some of the furniture was also passed down from generation to generation. Most chairs and tables were from an older house, but they were still able to match to the new house design. Since old wood is becoming invaluable nowadays, keeping the classic shape and form of the furniture was important. The furniture was only repainted with new colors to match the tropical style concept of the new house. This house was completed in November 2010 on my mom's birthday. It took a total of 5 years for construction and designing both the interior and exterior. This house holds a special place in my heart because it is my parents' last home. I love this house and I did my best to provide the best design for my family. Most importantly, this house can now provide comfort, relaxation and safety for all my family members.</image:caption>
