PTT Global Chemical produces and distributes ethylene, polyethylene, and biochemical products, so the design concept for this project was inspired by the molecular geometry and structure of the chemicals used in the company’s products.
This design language based on the 120° angles found in the molecular geometry was repeated throughout the space for various tailor-made elements of the interior design, including sculptures and lighting fixtures. The vivid color scheme used in various interior design elements was also based on the chemical’s vibrant color pigment.
To further reflect the high-tech nature of the company’s brand, culture and products, three-dimensional laser cut shapes and techniques were used for the different materials within the space, particularly the glass fixtures. Frosted frames were also used for various elements of the interior design.
The fun and funky mood did not take away from corporate nature of the executive working floor. In fact, the sculpture design was made by using the acrylic resin from one of the company's products, and a different color was added to create special design only for PTT Chem.
Laser cut techniques were used for this project to deliver the illusion of three dimension to the company's two-dimensional logo. The clear acrylic 2.5 mm. got cut in different shapes and provided the perfect logo for PTT Chem.
